Current transformers are suitable for current testing across a wide frequency range, particularly excelling in high-frequency circuits. When the current being measured passes through the transformer's windings, a magnetic field proportional to the current is generated. This magnetic field further acts on the coils in the windings, producing a corresponding electromagnetically induced electromotive force. By measuring the magnitude of the output voltage signal, we can determine the magnitude of the current in the circuit being measured.
Reference Analysis: The primary and secondary windings of a current transformer are wound according to parameter requirements. In a current transformer, the primary winding has few turns, high current, is directly connected to the main circuit, and withstands the main circuit's voltage to ground, etc. The secondary circuit is the opposite; it typically has many turns, low current, is isolated from the main circuit, and does not withstand the main circuit's voltage to ground, etc.
Indoor current transformers are widely used, but it's important to understand their specific functions to ensure proper later use. What are the functions of an indoor current transformer?
